Welcoming Will Roberts as Highnote’s first Chief Risk Officer

Will is a longtime payments leader, bringing more than two decades of experience across some of the most respected names in fintech and financial services, including GoFundMe, PayPal, Braintree, and Fiserv. While these companies now operate at scale, Will joined them early, playing a foundational role in building and operationalizing risk, fraud, support, and compliance-adjacent functions that helped shape their long-term success.

He’s helped some of the industry’s most well-known platforms grow with confidence—bringing structure to complexity and reinforcing trust in moments of rapid expansion. From emerging fintechs to global payments giants, Will’s career has been defined by building systems that scale, without compromising on integrity.

At Highnote, Will will shape and strengthen our overall risk strategy across the unified platform—spanning card issuing, acquiring, credit, and embedded finance—and collaborate across teams on key areas including platform integrity, fraud, support, and compliance integration. Together, we’ll ensure that the systems supporting our subscribers are as resilient and forward-looking as the products we deliver.
